About the Riverside Cafe & Catering

Eva & Roman Zabilka would like to welcome you to the Riverside Junction Cafe & Catering at the Whistler Campground.

Since 1986 Eva has been wowing people with her delicious baked goods & Cooking. Eva was the famous European baker on Whistler Mountain and many still talk about her apple cakes.

In 1993 Eva and her friend Ophra Buckman opened Auntie Em's kitchen in Whistler's Marketplace. This was before I.G.A on Main St. and it was soon clear that the cafe was the place to go for fast and delicious breakfast and lunch.

Famous for their European pastries, homemade soups, specials and sandwiches on their daily made sourdough rye. Auntie Em's was also the first restaurant to feature daily vegan specials. It is easy to see why the line up was never ending from dawn to dusk. In 2002 it was time for a break and the partners sold the cafe.

In June 2008 Eva was back in the kitchen with her partner/son, Roman. Mornings start with fresh muffins, scones, croissants and organic latte's, tea & coffee. With 14 breakfast items including 6 choices of eggs benedict -- homemade hollandaise sauce & free range eggs of course, it's no wonder the locals and campers love to start their day at the Riverside Café and for late riser -- breakfast until closing !
